[IUCN Congress 2021] URBiNAT to be discussed during special session on “Lessons learnt from co-creating nature-based solutions in Urban Living Labs”
This special session of the IUCN Congress will start with an introduction to the purpose of EU funded Nature-based solutions Project Task Force 6 “Co-creation and Governance” and the participants. A presentation on the state of the work of the activities in each of the TF6 work groups will follow. This special session will also include a discussion with an interactive element to engage the audience (via the use of mentimeter). Scientists, practitioners, and policy-makers interested in relations between socioeconomic and ecological components of urban systems are invited to attend The 3rd World Conference of the Society for Urban Ecology 2020/21. Following conferences in Berlin (2013) and in Shanghai (2016) 2021 conference will be held in Poznań, Poland. The conference program covers a wide range of topics related to urban ecological aspects and social components interdependencies in cities.
[Conference] IV ISA Forum of Sociology
CES' researchers, Beatriz Caitana and Nathalie Nunes, presented two communications at the IV ISA Forum on URBiNAT's approaches in handling the complex combination and concentration of challenges and factors in inclusive urban regeneration: more than green, as an extended model for NBS in urban regeneration; and intersectional challenges in the emergence of social innovation for active citizenship.
