Jorge Carvalho
Tutor of the Healthy Home Summer School | aNC arquitectos / DARQ
aNC arquitectos was founded in 1991, in Porto, by Teresa Novais and Jorge Carvalho. Both graduated in Architecture by the Faculty of Architecture of Porto University. The work of aNC arquitectos has been awarded at several ocasions: including an Honourable Mention in the João de Almada Prize 2019, the IX Ibero American Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism Prize in 2014 and a Nomination for the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture Mies van der Rohe Award in 2011. aNC was the local studio on the construction of Casa da Música, a project by Rem Koolhaas / O.M.A. In the academic field, Teresa Novais and Jorge Carvalho have taught in the area of design and construction and are regularly invited for academic reviews in national and European schools of Architecture. Both develop several activities within the disciplinary debate and the exercise of the profession.
