Superbarrio BCN is a Digital Enabler that was developed by IAAC within the framework of the URBiNAT project for implementation in Porto, Nantes and Sofia. It is a video game tool/platform for the participatory design of public space. Superbarrio uses gamification strategies, expanding the potential audience of existing participatory design processes, and increasing good relationships between citizens and neighborhood.

The video game allows you to play from home, view the neighborhood in 3d, and invites you to play by selecting a series of urban elements that can be positioned at desired points in the public space.

According to the components chosen, the game informs about the impact of the decisions made in the neighborhood, thus increasing citizens’ awareness of the possibilities of living in a more sustainable neighborhood.
