Professor of Chemistry of the Environment and Cultural Heritage, Coordinator of the PhD programme in Environmental, Geological and Polar Sciences and Delegate for Sustainability at the University of Siena. He has 30 years of experience in the study of sustainability and its indicators (eMergy, eXergy, Ecological Footprint, Life Cycle Assessment, etc.), publishing more than 200 papers.
He is Past-President of the Emergy Society, Member of the Standard Committee of the Global Footprint Network and of the Scientific Board of the International Society of Ecological Modelling.
