Rita Campos has a PhD in Biology and is currently a researcher in Science Communication and Science Education at the Centre for Social Studies-University of Coimbra (CES), where she is also co-coordinator of the Working Group on Citizen Science and Education. Her research interests focus on the study, production and evaluation of science communication tools, active student-centred science education, public engagement in and with science (citizen science), and trans- and interdisciplinary approaches and methodologies that enhance public inclusion and participation in public debates on sustainability.
