Há, no entanto, uma nova lógica para a habitação pública, que passa pelo maior envolvimento dos moradores nas decisões e em programas específicos para essas populações.

How to Combat Stigma in Social Neighbourhoods

The traditional model of social housing is outdated, and it has long been realized that it does not favor the integration of the most vulnerable people. Many countries have already abandoned the old formula. But in Portugal, this is still the dominant solution. There is, however, a new logic for public housing, which involves greater resident involvement in decisions and specific programs for these populations.
